Work Experience UK offers three types of Accommodation, as follows:
Self
Catering
This accommodation option is where the Student or Beneficiary lives in accommodation
and buys and prepares all of their own meals. Self catering accommodation
may be in a residence, hostel or with a family, depending on availability.
Host Family (or home Stay)
This accommodation option is where the Student or Beneficiary lives with a
family and may receive all (Full Board) or some (Half Board)
of their meals, which are generally taken with the family.

Selection and inspection of Accommodation
All accommodation used by Work Experience UK is fully and regularly inspected
against a comprehensive quality checklist.
Every Student or Beneficiary is asked to complete a formal evaluation of their
accommodation, and the results of this evaluation determines whether we should
continue to use this accommodation, to re-inspect it or to discontinue its
use.
Accommodation Officers
Every Work Experience UK office has a dedicated Accommodation Officer who
is responsible for the sourcing, inspection and allocation of accommodation.
This person is also responsible for all liaison between Work Experience UK,
the Student or Beneficiary, the Agent or Partner and the Accommodation Provider
for all issues relating to accommodation.
Our experience over the years has led us to believe that host family accommodation
is by far the best, safest and most appropriate accommodation option available.
Host family accommodation offers the student the opportunity to live as a
part of a local family, enjoying their hospitality, meals and social life.
It is also an excellent opportunity for the student to practice their English
in the family environment. Those that choose to stay with host families are
offered the option of either half board (breakfast and evening meal, with
lunch at weekends) or full board (breakfast, lunch and evening meals 7 days
a week).
Hotel
This accommodation option is where the Student or Beneficiary lives a hotel
or guest house for the duration of their stay.
